I illustrated and designed an advertising campaign for an energy saving program in Orange County. Using existing incentives and plans from OC Power Authority and SoCal Edison, I developed mailable postcards and letterhead for the campaign as well as billboards and other signage. Using a set of cohesive illustrated icons, I created a main illustration to be used across the campaign as well as guidelines to use the individual icons on future assets.
Making sure to keep all designs simple but playful allows the information to take center stage in a way that isn’t too “in your face” and balances out the information to be more easily read by the consumer, and lets the consumer decide how to interact with the information. I kept the colors neutral but vibrant, eluding to the fact the campaign isn’t trying to force anyone to live a certain way, but rather suggesting a more wholesome and beneficial lifestyle shift.
